The transformer is 121.8 meters long, 6.4 meters wide, and 5.576 meters high (Ecovias/Disclosure) The transportation of the largest special cargo ever to pass through the Anchieta-Imigrantes System (SAI) was scheduled to begin in the early hours of this Thursday (13). This is a large transformer headed for the Port of Santos, to be exported to Los Angeles, USA, where it will replace equipment damaged by recent wildfires in the region. The transformer measures 121.8 meters in length, 6.4 meters in width, and 5.576 meters in height, with a gross weight of 824.25 tons. Due to the complexity of the operation, the transportation will be carried out in three stages, always during the early morning hours. According to information from the road concessionaire, on Thursday, the cargo would enter the Imigrantes Highway at km 27, at the access to the Rodoanel, and proceed to km 44, where it would be parked. On a date to be determined, it is expected to resume the route through the mountain section until km 62 of the South lane. On the final night of operation, it will travel from Imigrantes Highway to the Port of Santos, completing the route on the section under Ecovias' concession. To ensure road safety, the operation will be supported by the Highway Patrol, which will escort the transport vehicle.
