Port of Paranaguá (Cláudio Neves/Portos do Paraná) Portos do Paraná has authorized the start of maintenance and safety reinforcement works at the Public Liquid Bulk Pier (PPGL) at the Port of Paranaguá. Approximately R\$ 29 million will be invested in the execution of the project. The basic plan that supported the bidding process was developed in collaboration with the operators of the PPGL, considering the key needs aimed at improving the safety of operations at the site. New Dolphin The project includes the construction of a new dolphin (a fixed port structure) for the mooring and docking of ships. The structure will feature a metal walkway equipped with a modern laser docking system and quick-release mooring hooks. The works will also include the replacement of fenders (responsible for minimizing the impact of vessels during docking), the recovery of the entire pier's pavement, including vertical and horizontal signage, and improvements to the electrical system. The project design and execution are expected to take 420 days. Built in the 1940s, the PPGL currently serves five terminals at mooring berths 141 and 142.
