The Brazilian delegation included around 40 authorities, businesspeople, and port sector specialists (Rodrigo Nardelli/TV Tribuna) Grupo Tribuna is celebrating the success of another edition of Missão Internacional Porto & Mar. This year, the agenda developed in Brazil focused on uniting the challenges of the port sector with the most advanced technologies available. That objective was fulfilled over the week in the United States, with two days of commitments in the state of Washington and two more in California. “Once again, Grupo Tribuna fulfilled its role. We successfully completed another mission with visits that combined ports and technology. It's important to highlight the strong interest shown by the authorities and business leaders who took part in the meetings, all within a very rich agenda,” said the CEO of TV Tribuna, Roberto Clemente Santini. The Brazilian delegation was composed of approximately 40 authorities, businesspeople, and specialists from the port sector. They visited the ports of Seattle, Everett, and Oakland, as well as technology-related companies such as Microsoft, Cadence, Apple, and Google. The agenda carried out during the Missão Internacional Porto & Mar 2025 was also emphasized by Grupo Tribuna’s port affairs consultant, Maxwell Rodrigues. “Throughout the week, we experienced an immersion in technology, ports, and the academic world in a place known for producing brilliant minds. This was my fourth Missão Internacional as part of the organizing team, and I believe we’ve reached a level of excellence, definitively contributing to the advancement of the port sector in Brazil.” Grupo Tribuna’s Commercial Director, Demetrio Amono, described the work done in the United States as excellent. “We reinforced our commitment to providing our business partners and public officials with a meaningful experience, full of technical content and insights so that, upon returning to Brazil, they can transform their companies and public service with those practices.” In his view, Brazil is not far behind the best practices seen in U.S. port operations, but “it needs to progress in technology, including artificial intelligence, advance sustainability efforts aligned with the ESG agenda, and reduce bureaucracy.” Grupo Tribuna’s Content Director, Alexandre Lopes, stressed that ports and technology must go hand in hand. “The U.S. is far ahead in key port-related aspects, and with our journalistic coverage, we were able to bring the population of Baixada Santista closer to what we saw here. Certainly, many important discussions will follow from now on.” Alberto Mourão, Marcos Bemquerer Costa, Roberto Clemente Santini and Anderson Pomini (Rodrigo Nardelli/TV Tribuna) KNOWLEDGE On yesterday’s agenda along the U.S. West Coast, the opportunity to engage with cutting-edge technology at Apple was highlighted by the Mayor of Praia Grande, Alberto Mourão (MDB); the Substitute Minister of Tribunal de Contas da União (TCU), Marcos Bemquerer Costa; the CEO of TV Tribuna, Roberto Clemente Santini; and the President of Santos Port Authority (APS), Anderson Pomini.
