MSC Seaview was the first cruise ship to dock in Santos last month, opening the season; it will make nine stops in December (MSC Cruises/Disclosure) The Giusfredo Santini Passenger Maritime Terminal, managed by Concais, in Santos, will welcome five ships and double the number of stops in December compared to the first month of the 2024/2025 cruise season. More than 184,300 people are expected, representing a 128.9% increase from November’s 80,500 visitors. In addition to traditional trips, five themed cruises will pass through the Port of Santos, featuring artists from diverse musical genres such as Zeca Pagodinho, Belo, Marisa Monte, Gusttavo Lima, Jota Quest, Alok, among others. According to Concais, which manages the cruise terminal, of the 184,252 passengers expected in December, 89,634 are for embarkations, 84,217 for disembarkations, and 10,401 will be in transit. This month, three MSC transatlantic ships and two Costa vessels will dock in Santos, totaling 25 stops. These include the MSC Seaview (nine stops), MSC Grandiosa (four), MSC Splendida (three), Costa Pacifica (seven), and Costa Diadema (two). New Year’s Eve A unique attraction is planned for New Year’s Eve when the Costa Pacifica will remain anchored in Santos Bay, allowing passengers to watch the traditional fireworks display as the year turns. The New Year’s Eve at Sea cruise runs from December 29 to January 2, featuring Wesley Safadão, Gusttavo Lima, Alok, Luan Santana, Jota Quest, Capital Inicial, É o Tchan, Henrico, and Bruno & Denner. Concais announced a special attraction for the period between Christmas and New Year’s Eve: “A team of professionals in Santa Claus-themed costumes will welcome passengers during some embarkations in the festive week.” Concais Operations Manager Javier Carnevale celebrates the early numbers of the 2024/2025 season. “We hope that December and the upcoming months will be as positive as recent weeks and that we can continue to write another incredible chapter in the history of the cruise season in Santos and Brazil.” Themed cruises In addition to the New Year’s Eve at Sea cruise, four other themed cruises will take place on the Seaview this month, organized by PromoAção. Two of them are Navio do Zeca Pagodinho (Friday to Monday), featuring Diogo Nogueira, Vanessa da Mata, Jorge Aragão, Xande de Pilares, Maria Rita, Fundo de Quintal, and others; and Belo em Alto-Mar (Monday through December 12), with Soweto, Ludmilla, Pixote, Turma do Pagode, Thiaguinho, and Ferrugem. Later this month, there will also be the Marisa Monte - Festival Navegantes cruise (December 12–15), featuring Adriana Calcanhotto, Arnaldo Antunes, Carlinhos Brown, João Gomes, Ney Matogrosso, Pretinho da Serrinha, Seu Jorge, Silva, and Xande de Pilares. A final cruise (December 15–18) will feature Fresno, The Last Internationale, Mamonas Assassinas - O Legado, Reação em Cadeia, Colomy, and Luana Camarah.
