Atualmente, a empresa opera cobrindo cinco portos brasileiros (Divulgação) The Brazilian coastal navigation company (cabotage) Norcoast will expand its cargo transport services along the Brazilian coast by extending its activities to the Port of Itajaí, in Santa Catarina, on October 2. Currently, Norcoast operates covering five ports: Santos, Paranaguá (PR), Suape (PE), Pecém (CE), and Manaus (AM). The company provides integrated logistics and services aimed at delivering cargo to the customer’s doorstep. With a strong presence in the southern region of Brazil, the company has had weekly calls at the Port of Paranaguá since it began operations in February of this year. The inclusion of the Port of Itajaí in the weekly schedule will ensure greater service coverage. The company will operate the route from Santos to Itajaí, Paranaguá, Suape, Pecém, and Manaus. “This will bring more scope and business opportunities for the company’s clients, who benefit from a 100% Brazilian-flagged fleet and crew on all ships”, the company states in a press release. Norcoast transports a wide variety of products, including refrigerated cargo for protein producers, white goods, construction materials, packaging, wood, among others. “Brazil is increasingly shifting its transport culture by recognizing that coastal navigation offers better results compared to other modes. Our new call at Itajaí, in addition to expanding Norcoast's activities, brings greater logistical competitiveness, especially for Santa Catarina and part of Rio Grande do Sul, thus fostering Brazilian economic development”, says Gustavo Paschoa, CEO of the company.
