Auction for Rota do Agro to take place this Thursday in São Paulo

The auction for the concession of Rota Agro Norte (BR-364) in Rondônia will take place on Thursday (27th), starting at 2:00 PM, at the São Paulo Stock Exchange (B3). The Ministry of Transport and the National Land Transport Agency (ANTT) will lead the event.

The project foresees several improvements to the highway, with investments exceeding BRL 10 billion. It will be the first auction of a federal highway in the Northern Region of Brazil.

With a length of 686.7 km, the section of BR-364 to be granted covers important points in Rondônia, from the junction with BR-435 to BR-319, as well as strategic access points in Ji-Paraná and Porto Velho.

The concession project, related to Lot CN5 of Rota Agro Norte, is expected to enhance the road infrastructure and boost the transportation of agricultural products in the Northern region. The criterion for the auction will be the highest discount on the toll tariff as outlined in the bidding documents.

It is estimated that over 92,000 jobs will be created with the concession.
