With this new lease, Portos do Paraná will have 100% of its operational areas regularized (Claudio Neves/Portos do Paraná) Portos do Paraná has published a tender notice for the auction of an area measuring 43,459 square meters (m²), called PAR25, at the Port of Paranaguá. The announcement was made last Friday after the Federal Court of Accounts (TCU) approved the project, which will be auctioned on the 30th of this month. PAR25 is part of the planned port leases by the manager of Paraná's ports to enhance the logistical infrastructure of the Paranaguá Export Corridor. The port authority explains that once the process is completed, Portos do Paraná will achieve an unprecedented milestone among Brazilian public ports: having 100% of its operational areas fully regularized. "With the auction of PAR25, we will have regularized all areas, ensuring investments in port infrastructure. We are also guaranteeing legal security for these spaces, offering the market more efficiency in crop shipment", said Luiz Fernando Garcia, CEO of Portos do Paraná. The PAR25 area is expected to attract an investment of R\$ 233.5 million, in addition to an additional contribution of R\$ 331.6 million, totaling R\$ 565.1 million. The project will be offered to the market together with PARs 14 and 15, in the public session scheduled for the 30th, at the B3 Stock Exchange. In total, investments in the Paraná port infrastructure are expected to reach R\$ 2.2 billion. The three terminals are intended for the export of bulk vegetable products, such as soybeans, corn, and meal. "The estimate is that investments will double the capacity for agricultural crop shipments through the Paraná port", projected the Minister of Ports and Airports, Silvio Costa Filho.
